Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 12, 2026
JetCapture Ltd ("JetCapture", "we", "us", "our") operates JetCapture Pro Logbook and related support pages (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is stored on your device, what information may be processed by service providers that help us deliver purchases and support, and your rights regarding that data.
By using our Services you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Data Stored in the App
JetCapture Pro Logbook is designed as a local-first app. Your logbook and operational records are intended to remain on your device unless you choose to sync them using your personal iCloud account or send them to us for support.
1.1 Logbook Data You Enter
The app may store information that you choose to enter, such as:
- flight records and duty information;
- aircraft details, registration information, and route entries;
- crew names and operational notes; and
- other logbook data and settings you create in the app.
This information is stored on your device. We do not receive a copy of that logbook data unless you deliberately export it, email it to us, or enable a third-party service that transmits it.
1.2 Data Processed Only on Device
Calculations, summaries, and views generated entirely on your device are processed locally and are not sent to JetCapture servers solely because they exist in the app.
2. Data Processed for Purchases and Subscriptions
If you buy, restore, or use a subscription or other in-app purchase, data related to that transaction may be processed by Apple and by RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider.
2.1 Apple
Apple processes App Store transactions, billing, refunds handled through the App Store, and related account information under Apple's own terms and privacy practices. JetCapture is not responsible for disclosing data collected independently by Apple through Apple services.
2.2 RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to validate purchases, determine subscription status, and unlock paid features. In connection with that service, RevenueCat may process data such as purchase history, receipts, entitlement status, an anonymous or app-provided user identifier, and technical/request metadata such as last-opened timestamps and country derived from IP address.
If we use an app-specific account identifier with RevenueCat, that identifier may be linked to your purchase history. If we do not provide one, RevenueCat may create an anonymous app user ID for subscription management.
3. Support Communications
If you contact us for support, we will process the information you send us, such as your email address, device details, iOS version, screenshots, exported files, and the contents of your message. We use that information only to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, and provide customer support, including assistance with importing or converting existing logbook data.
4. How We Use Information
We use the limited information available to us for the following purposes:
- to provide the app's core local-first functionality on your device;
- to validate purchases, subscriptions, restorations, and entitlements;
- to respond to support requests and troubleshoot problems; and
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your logbook records for advertising. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the app.
5. iCloud Sync
Some of our apps offer optional sync via Apple's iCloud service. When enabled, your data syncs across your Apple devices through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure.
JetCapture does not have access to your iCloud data. Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy govern this sync. You can enable or disable iCloud sync at any time in your device settings.
6. Third-Party Services
We rely on third-party service providers only where needed to deliver app functionality or support. Depending on how you use the app, these may include:
- Apple, for App Store distribution, billing, refunds, and optional iCloud sync; and
- RevenueCat, for purchase validation, subscription status, and entitlement management.
These providers process data under their own terms or under data processing arrangements applicable to their role.
7. Data Storage and Security
Your logbook data is stored locally on your device and, if you opt in, in your personal iCloud account. Subscription-related data may also be processed by RevenueCat and Apple to confirm purchases and manage access to paid features.
We rely in part on the security measures provided by Apple's platforms and our service providers, including:
- on-device protections provided by iOS and macOS;
- App Store and iCloud security controls provided by Apple; and
- security measures used by RevenueCat for subscription infrastructure.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
Your logbook data remains on your device for as long as you choose to keep it, subject to your own backups and iCloud settings. You may delete records within the app, remove synced iCloud data through your Apple account controls, or uninstall the app.
Support emails and related correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your request, maintain support history, and meet legal or accounting requirements.
Purchase and subscription records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat in accordance with their own retention practices and our contractual needs for purchase validation, accounting, fraud prevention, and customer support.
9. Your Rights
You can:
- Access your data within the app and, where available, through export features;
- Correct records by editing them in the app;
- Delete records or remove app data from your device;
- Restrict syncing by disabling iCloud sync; and
- Contact us regarding support data or other personal information we directly hold.
If you are located in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, or another jurisdiction with applicable privacy rights, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Some requests relating to purchases, App Store accounts, or iCloud data may need to be directed to Apple. Requests relating to RevenueCat-hosted subscription records may require coordination with RevenueCat as our processor.
10. International Transfers
JetCapture Ltd is based in England. If you use App Store purchases, iCloud sync, or RevenueCat-backed subscription features, relevant data may be processed in countries where Apple or RevenueCat operate. Those providers are responsible for their own transfer mechanisms and related safeguards.
11. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
