JetCapture Ltd ("JetCapture", "we", "us", "our") operates the Logbook mobile application and other software products (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
By using our Services you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Our apps are designed to store data locally on your device. Depending on the app, this may include:
- Flight records, aircraft details, and crew information (Logbook)
- Financial and budgeting data (Zenvilope)
- Audio and video recordings (Fideliview)
This data is created and stored entirely on your device. We do not have access to it and it is not transmitted to JetCapture servers.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Our apps do not collect any information automatically. We do not use analytics SDKs, crash reporting frameworks, advertising identifiers, or any other form of automated data collection.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
We do not receive any information about you from third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
Because our apps are local-first, your data is processed entirely on your device to provide the app's core functionality. We do not process your data on our servers for any purpose, including:
- Advertising or marketing
- Analytics or usage tracking
- Profiling or personalisation
- Sale or rental to third parties
3. iCloud Sync
Some of our apps offer optional sync via Apple's iCloud service. When enabled, your data syncs across your Apple devices through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure.
JetCapture does not have access to your iCloud data. Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy govern this sync. You can enable or disable iCloud sync at any time in your device settings.
4. Third-Party Services
Our apps do not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share your data with any third party.
Our apps may include bundled reference data (such as airport databases or aircraft type designators) to assist with data entry. This data is included within the app binary and is not fetched from external servers.
5. Data Storage and Security
All user data is stored locally on your device and, if you opt in, in your personal iCloud account. We rely on the security measures provided by Apple's platforms:
- On-device encryption via iOS and macOS data protection
- iCloud encryption in transit and at rest
- App sandboxing to prevent unauthorised access by other apps
Because we do not operate servers that store your data, there is no centralised database that could be subject to a data breach.
6. Data Retention
Your data remains on your device for as long as you choose to keep it. You may delete individual records within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. iCloud data can be managed through your Apple ID settings.
We do not retain any copy of your data.
7. Your Rights
Because your data never leaves your device (except via your own iCloud account), you have full control at all times. You can:
- Access — view all data stored in the app
- Correct — edit any record at any time
- Delete — remove individual records or delete all data by uninstalling
- Export — export your data from within the app (where supported)
- Restrict processing — disable iCloud sync to keep data on a single device
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because we do not collect or process personal data on our servers, most GDPR data-processing obligations do not apply. However, you may contact us at any time regarding your rights.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
9. International Users
JetCapture Ltd is registered in England. Because your data is stored locally on your device, no cross-border data transfer occurs through our Services. If you use iCloud sync, Apple's data transfer practices apply as described in Apple's privacy policy.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
